What’s the leucine threshold?

Your body needs about 2.5 grams of leucine in one go to fully flip that muscle-building switch. Anything less and your body won’t get the full benefits. That’s why our formula delivers a clinically effective dose in each serving, so you can exactly see results from your routine.*

So what exactly is Leucine? Meet leucine

Leucine is one of three BCAAs, and it’s the on switch of muscle protein synthesis, the process muscles use to build and repair themselves. The kicker is that you can't just have a little bit of leucine here and a little bit there and call it a day.*

Why you need more with age

As we age, our muscles naturally need a bigger push to grow and repair. Muscle protein synthesis slows down and reaching that leucine “threshold” matters even more. Even if you eat plenty of protein, you still have to get enough leucine at each meal, and diet alone doesn’t always cut it. That’s where lean & tone aminos+ come in.*
