Found in the back of the eyes are macular carotenoids lutein and zeaxanthin (as Lutemax® 2020), sourced from marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta). Concentrated in the center of the retina, these photoprotective antioxidants are clinically shown to improve MPOD, visual performance, and macular health and longevity, and recovery from light exposure.*
