You can take ultimate multivitamin+ at any point in the day that works best for you and your needs, but we recommend you take it at or around the time of a meal or snack. Why? The absorption of the essential fat-soluble vitamins is naturally supported by the proximity of a meal or snack with some fat content. Some customers may find that ultimate multivitamin+ is energizing, so most customers choose to take our multivitamin/mineral supplement in the morning or midday instead of near bedtime.* 

If you take ultimate multivitamin+, you do not need to take a separate B complex product, unless your health care practitioner has recommended otherwise. We intentionally formulated this next-generation multi to include a built-in, high-potency, and complete B complex, featuring all eight B vitamins (thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, biotin, folate, and vitamin B12). It’s comprehensive array of vitamins (14) and minerals (13) rivals most multis on the market today. Many multivitamins exclude iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium, vitamin K, and others. We do not. You will find all of these essential micronutrients in ultimate multivitamin+. Absolutely, we include iron in ultimate multivitamin+, as it's an essential mineral with critical health functions (e.g., red blood cell health and delivery of oxygen to our cells, tissues, and organs throughout our body) and nutrient gap for many. We optimized the iron dose (9 mg) for women and men, young and older (i.e., 18+ years). Furthermore, our iron optimizes gentleness and bioavailability because it comes in the premium amino acid chelated form (ferrous bisglycinate chelate).*

Unfortunately many refillable bags or containers do not provide the same protection and stability for our ingredients as our amber glass (bottles, jars) and PET bags achieve. What's more, the product-specific manufacturing information (i.e., specific identifiers such as the lot and date) stamped on each product would be lost when the customer discards the refill packaging, as is customary. That lost information would not enable us to comply with a variety of very important FDA regulations specific to dietary supplements (e.g., cGMPs, adverse event reporting, etc.), and regulatory compliance is something that mindbodygreen respects and prioritizes. From an additional safety standpoint, there are also microbial contamination concerns with refillable vessels over time. Yes, ultimate multivitamin+ is vegan, with plant-derived or vegan-friendly ingredients utilized throughout. This is even true of our vitamin D3 source (sustainable, organic algae), which is unique to find in a multivitamin (most multis source D3 from lanolin, which is derived from sheep’s wool; a fine source, just not vegan). Furthermore, this multivitamin/mineral supplement is GMO-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, and free of major food allergens.
