Q: When should I take sleep support+? And how many capsules do I take each night?

Take 2 capsules daily 1-2 hours before bedtime, or as directed by your health care practitioner. Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place without direct sunlight.

Q: I’ve tried other types of magnesium, but they haven’t worked. How is this formula different?

sleep support+ is so much more than just magnesium! We combined magnesium bisglycinate with two key bioactives to enhance sleep quality and promote relaxation—jujube and PharmaGABA®. Magnesium supports muscle relaxation to help ease into a more relaxed state to facilitate natural sleep. We use a premium, gentle and bioavailable form of magnesium known as magnesium bisglycinate (also called magnesium glycinate) because it is well-designed for pre-bedtime supplementation to support restful sleep—plus, glycine is a neurotransmitter that promotes relaxation and stress reduction in the body.*

Q: How long does it take sleep support+ to improve sleep? Do you recommend taking it every night?

Every person is unique, but it usually takes 2 to 3 weeks to adjust to our sleep formula or most new sleep regimens. That said, it is not uncommon for people to experience benefits on the first night they take it. We recommend taking sleep support+ every night to reap the full benefits. We have found this daily or routine frequency of sleep support+ use (taken 1 to 2 hours before bedtime) and several-weeks duration (about 2 to 3 weeks) to be important for achieving that new steady state of improved sleep.*Equally important, we have also found that sleep support+ is most effective when combined with key sleep etiquette practices like a personalized wind down ritual, being ruthless about limiting light (especially blue light sources like electronics) well before bedtime, creating a dark bedroom, leveraging a cool temp (e.g., 68 F or less), avoiding caffeine and alcohol well before bedtime, and masking noise reductions as much as possible.

Q: Can I take sleep support+ if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

The ingredients in sleep support+ (magnesium, jujube, and PharmaGABA®) have not been shown to be harmful to pregnant or breastfeeding women. With that being said, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant, out of an abundance of caution, we recommend consulting your health care practitioner before using any dietary supplement product.

Q: Does mindbodygreen offer a refillable program?

Our high-quality formulas are delivered in premium, sustainable, and recyclable packaging (recyclable amber glass bottles and jars, recyclable bags, and recyclable cardboard shipping boxes made from 100% recycled paper). Always looking towards the latest innovations, we carefully and intentionally source our eco-friendly packaging to prioritize the environment, but also to protect the premium ingredients in our capsules, gelcaps, and powders (i.e., vitamins, minerals, botanicals, peptides, probiotics, bioactives) from UV light degradation. This is pivotal to ensure quality standards throughout the lifecycle of the product.Unfortunately many refillable bags or containers do not provide the same protection and stability for our ingredients as our amber glass (bottles, jars) and PET bags achieve. What's more, the product-specific manufacturing information (i.e., specific identifiers such as the lot and date) stamped on each product would be lost when the customer discards the refill packaging, as is customary. That lost information would not enable us to comply with a variety of very important FDA regulations specific to dietary supplements (e.g., cGMPs, adverse event reporting, etc.), and regulatory compliance is something that mindbodygreen respects and prioritizes. From an additional safety standpoint, there are also microbial contamination concerns with refillable vessels over time. Thank you for your consideration as to why we have thoughtfully curated our packaging in the way we do.

Q: Why did we not include melatonin in our sleep support+ formula?

Our sleep support+ formula is melatonin free, because melatonin is a hormone, and we believe it’s important to be thoughtful when putting any hormones into your body. Melatonin can make someone feel groggy in the morning and you can develop a tolerance to melatonin over time, making it even more difficult to fall asleep naturally.
